Dungeons 3 is a fun, tongue-in-cheek series that turns the usual player-being-the-hero concept on its head. In Dungeons 3 you get to be the bad guy and build traps to keep out the pesky do-gooders that are trying to invade your wonderful Dungeon and stop your expansionist plans. As the Dungeon Lord you breed bigger and stronger monsters to counter the ever more holy-than-thou Paladins and Sorceress’s that periodically adventure forth into your realm, hoping to take your head as a trophy. And they say you’re the bad guy.
Dungeons 3 is scheduled to arrive later this year and it promises 20 single player campaigns, which Kalypso say translates into more than 20 hours of play time. While each campaign dungeon will present its own challenges this game offers a sandbox environment design which hopefully means Dungeons 3 will allow the player to enjoy long play sessions past the core 20 campaign levels. There will also be randomly generated levels and players will have to improvise using every technique in order to win.
